NECC 2008

We have returned from NECC in San Antonio, TX. This has been a very fast paced conference. There are a tremendous number of vendors and workshops to attend daily. I wish we could have stayed longer because the science workshops were all on Wednesday and we had to catch our plane. I was able to get some great insight on establishing a Robotics Club at the school. I was also able to get many contacts on different products available to make technology a main focus at Moss Point High School.

Podcasting

This is my first attempt at doing this. I am very excited about being able to use this type of technology in my classroom. This will be great for students that need to hear the lecture for the day but know they are going to miss class. It will be very interesting to see how this will be used in the classroom in the fall. We leave for NECC tomorrow and I am very excited to learn more about using Podcasting in the classroom.

Where I am in Technology!

At this point, I believe I am still a baby when it comes to intergrating technology in my classroom. I am very excited about learning to use all the new technology that the school has available in the classroom. I've had some training on the PASCO Probeware but I could always improve and find new ways to get my students more involved. The next year will be very exciting in the Chemistry lab with all the new things that I will learn this summer.
